Food Inflation Kept Hidden in Tinier Bags

Chips are disappearing from bags, candy from boxes and vegetables from cans. As an expected increase in the cost of raw materials looms for late summer, consumers are beginning to encounter shrinking food packages.

With unemployment still high, companies in recent months have tried to camouflage price increases by selling their products in tiny and tinier packages. So far, the changes are most visible at the grocery store, where shoppers are paying the same amount, but getting less.

If the NYT’s had any real reporters, or investigative journalists, they’d tell you that the US TOBACCO giant Philip Morris bought very large chunks into our food supply by buying Kraft-Nabisco. That’s right, the cigarette companies now own your food.

EPA: Radioactive isotope levels are increasing in US“These types of findings are to be expected in the coming days”

EPA Monitoring Continues to Confirm That No Radiation Levels of Concern Have Reached the United States, EPA, March 28, 2011:

During detailed filter analyses from 12 RadNet air monitor locations across the nation, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) identified trace amounts of radioactive isotopes consistent with the Japanese nuclear incident. Some of the filter results show levels slightly higher than those found by EPA monitors last week and a Department of Energy monitor the week before. These types of findings are to be expected in the coming days and are still far below levels of public health concern.

EPA’s samples were captured by monitors in Alaska, Alabama, California, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands and Washington state over the past week and sent to EPA scientists for detailed laboratory analysis.

I am sure there is much more then JUST xenon-133 in these plumes ! Reactors do not produce just one isotope element, there are several, while focusing on one with one measuring instrument they omit several other extremely harmful fission products…

How Ignorant Are Americans?

They’re the sort of scores that drive high-school history teachers to drink. When NEWSWEEK recently asked 1,000 U.S. citizens to take America’s official citizenship test, 29 percent couldn’t name the vice president. Seventy-three percent couldn’t correctly say why we fought the Cold War. Forty-four percent were unable to define the Bill of Rights. And 6 percent couldn’t even circle Independence Day on a calendar.

Don’t get us wrong: civic ignorance is nothing new. For as long as they’ve existed, Americans have been misunderstanding checks and balances and misidentifying their senators. And they’ve been lamenting the philistinism of their peers ever since pollsters started publishing these dispiriting surveys back in Harry Truman’s day. (He was a president, by the way.) According to a study by Michael X. Delli Carpini, dean of the Annenberg School for Communication, the yearly shifts in civic knowledge since World War II have averaged out to “slightly under 1 percent.

What neither news weak or apparently, goodshit blog doesn’t tell you is that it is ‘trained incapacity’, generational, incremental and methodical corrupt educational pedagogy by design that brought us to this place of which venture vulture capitalism is but one symptom of a deeper sickness…

Indiana prosecutor resigns over Walker email

among the emails received by Gov. Walker’s office was one from a deputy prosecutor and GOP activist in Indiana recommending Walker stage a violent “false flag” attack on himself in order to discredit the peaceful pro-labor protesters. (An email sent the same day that Indiana deputy attorney general was caught suggesting Wisconsin police use “live ammunition”).

Guess you had to be there…
